Thanks for visiting my MG pages! The GT is a three-door hatchback, with a laughably small backseat. I might be able to fit one of my terriers back there. I have heard it referred to as a wagon several times before, however - once by a guy whose wife was the original owner of a burgundy '73 BGT. He said he'll "never understand why she bought the wagon instead of the roadster!" Thanks again for visiting my pages, I hope the dryer sheets work out for you.

Hi, Jen. Thanks for looking at my '88 Escort GT racer. If I can avoid braking things (this weekend, it was the transaxle), i am on schedule to do my first road race! July 20-22 at Pocono with N.A.S.A. www.nasanortheast.com
I did the Weatherly, PA Hill Climb and had a blast!

I am very interested in knowing how your mods for the ignition and the carbing of the former EFI turned out. Surely by now you're getting more than 84 HP!

thanks for the comment. I'm happy to find someone who likes escorts as much as I do! :-D I used the rad out of the broncoII, so I'm not sure if it'll fit in a stock escort, but you could try it. In our mud trucks we run this stuff called 40 Below. Its an antifreeze additive, it works great for keepin the engine cool...just gotta drain it out in the winter.

Thanks. Hopefully we can actually start on it next month. A couple of friends and I are putting in to get a hydraulic pipe bender for $200 from Harbor Freight. This will save us time and money.

Its more than just the quarter pannel, its the whole back half of my car!!! haha. I am seriously honored by ur recognition of our hard work with our Tempo's. Unfortunately, my car is going to have to be parked in a storage unit for a while due to some hard times in the past year and 2 months. It all started with an accident with the car last april, which required the whole front bumper, grill, and headlight assembly to be replaced. Then, this past winter some damage occured to cylinder #4, which required me to get a replacement engine out of a donor car. Now that engine has developed a dead miss in cylinder #2. Also, from taking it to the allignment shop, i found out that the front end of the car's frame is bent from my accident. So what this all means is a full resto-mod for the car. I'm parking it in a storage unit for about a year or so until i save up enough money to fix her up. I'm taking the car up to Peter's house in Connecticut for the interior, then taking it to his friend Jason's place in Ohio for an engine rebuild and turbo installation. (he built a turbo charged Tempo 4 cylinder engine which produced well over 200hp.) I'm currently working 2 jobs to save up money this summer just to make this dream come true, and to really ear the respect of the import's and everyone else.

Geez, that's quite a bit. I did a little research, it seems that it will end up between 500-700. I tohught about it, but decided I will keep my auto as long as it works alright. If it breaks, I'll definitely go for it, though! That would make the choice a lot easier.Anyway, yeah, thanks for your input.

Well,I replaced my alternator and brake shoes... Plus I switched out my steel wheels for what I have... Apart from that, I'm not too well versed in transmissions. If it is a direct bolt, perhaps I could jack the car up and do it (my dad has a machine that lifts the entire car up 8' without tilt). What I'm after is the sporty attribute, learning to use a manual, and the gas mileage. If the whole thing costs $700 or less I'd have a shop do it. Did you do it yourself, or what?

No, I won't be heading to Carlisle this coming weekend. I need to financially recover from this past weekend. I took the Vic to an open track weekend at Summit Point to run on the Shenandoah circuit. Was pretty damn fun, but I strapped myself to get my car prepped for the road course. Be sure to keep a lookout for my updates on it, they should be going up in the next week or so.
Glad you enjoy the burnouts, I just got rid of my wheels and tires though, so no new burnouts for a while. Plus the new tires cost a bit more since they go on 17X9 wheels ;) I've got a bit of updating to do as you can tell.

Thanks for signing my guestbook, I really appreciate it. I'm trying to find full time employment right now. After that I'm thinking of financing a new car for a nice dependable daily driver but this could be many months down the road though depending on how everything works out.
I was doing some painting/rust repair on the passenger side front fender of my dad's '97 Grand Am and that was enough to drive me nuts since I kept finding more rust after taking a side moulding off. That makes me appreciate projects like yours even more which are a lot more intense. Hopefully I will live out my dream of owning a classic car someday.

Hey Jen, Really nice Escort!!! I'm glad your restoring it, That's crazy you'v been almost everywhere in the US in that thing! Cool. And about the 57 fury, I think it will be ok like your going to need new tred and gas! But should fire right up! Aslong as the vaccum line's and seals are still soft. Anyway drop buy and check out my first car, And first Roo.

Thinking about swapping in a Zetec out of ZX2, but I might just rebuild this one and retain a little originality. I'm aiming towards a turbo setup as well, so it depends on which is easiest and gives the best results.
Thanks for the comments.
