whats up ppl im from puertorico and i just bought a used 2005 rio its just plain stock in a few days im getting a job so i can get 4 rims and cut the suspencion and some audio speakers and a head unit (radio) and then jeje me want to race im going for bigger throttle header all the muffler msd spark plugs wires you know just to run a lil bit more i still dont know if kia rio motors give alot of HP i ran with a "stock" toyota echo im automatic he's standard and he kinda kik the shit out of me i was like ... shit so ppl well be talking around ohh before i leave i wanna ask somthing i have seen this rios like 03 or somthing that the trunk and bumper change the trunk is like smoother since the license plate is on the bumper and i wanna know if i can mount that rear bumper and that trunk on my 2005 rio ill be uploading some pics during the week and you guys tell me what you think thanx alot take care well be in touch

Nice Rio. Your in about the same spot I am with mine. The only thing I have really done with mine is a Spectre Sports Air Intake, NGK spark plugs and wires, and BFGoodrinch Touring T/A Pro series Tires on factory rims.Other wise I'm still pretty much stock. I don't have an updated picture of the engine or else I would show you. I'll get one on here soon. Keep in touch and maybe we can share some idea's.

I don't know if you are familiar with the kia-fx.com website. They offer many tuner mods for rios. I have a sport tuned ecu from a 03 rio that I used in my 04 rio. I bought the ecu online stock and then sent it to kia-fx. For 280 dollars they send it to kuks auto overseas and have it sport tuned. Since the 03 - 05 rios are exactly the same it would work on your car as well. It adds a lot of power and makes the motor a lot punchier. I need extra cash so I am selling it and putting the stock one back in. $200 dollars and its yours, shipped to your door.

Finally someone else in Sydney with a KIA they want to tune!(I'm in Sydney too!)First do rims, go with a nice 15 inch with a 205/50/ tire on it,,,, Jim Sampson's got some good deals for tires(hankook's good:-D)
Then if u got cash after that, go to the KIA dealership & get them to order you the factory lip kit, actually sweet looking. about 500 painted,,,,,,I think. They also carry Eibach lowering springs for the Rio too but you can get them on ebay for about 199$usd.
& if you are really looking for some stuff for the Rio, look at these site's they can help;
streetkiaz.com = Forum, all the info on KIA tunning u need!
kiaspeed2.com = same as above
KfxPerformance = Kia & Hyundai parts
SF Engineering = Rio specific parts,,,, TURBO's & MEGA SQUIRTS,, Yippee
