Halicki was just a plain genius! Thanks for that video...
Amusing that he stereo typed the Mazda Dealer sales guy as asian, and didn't destroy any of the cars on that lot, but ruined about ten higher priced caddy's...
then of course it amazing the mustang held together as well as it did after each stunt...
By the way, your own ride is ...never finished...come on! its our livelyhood, hobby!
Really nice though!

Thanks, Johnny, for visiting my page and for those nice comments on my old wagon. Your RX2 looks good. Era-correct colors and great work on the wheels. I haven't tried driving one but I heard those rotary engines really run great. Keep it up with this 5-star classic Mazda. A gem of a ride. Cheers!!!

Love the RX2. Looks great with the trophies at either end of it.
WOW, its been a long time since that movie came out, the new Gone in 60 secs is ok, but as always the originals , are just that, ORIGINAL.
Thanks for the laugh.
Why do the movies make the Highway Patrol look like clutz??

Sweet looking RX2. I just started a CarDomain group called Club Rotary & I was wondering if you would like to join it? If so go to the groups section & join, you will be approved! I am trying to get all the "rotor heads" in 1 big group. Thanks. Would like to see the older rotaries represented too!

Grate job on the restoration Johnny. It's really good to see more people fix up some of the old school rotarys and bring them back to action. It's nothing out there quite like the old school. Keep rotating man!

Johnny,
Not quite sure how to use the personal vs. guestbook message centers. Anyway, I understand why you declined the purchase. Those are rare machines and you have done an excellent job on yours. Take good care of her and make sure gets driven a ton. Those cars like to go. I should know. Two of my three have torn up the highway. I do need to get behind the wheel of a rotary once again. In fact, strange as this may sound, my wife would prefer I get an RX-8 when I retire in 10 years than to devote tons of time restoring an old beater. Can't say I blame her. However, the RX-2 is a vintage ride with the true soul of a rotary. The RX-8 ain't bad, though. Take care.

Johnny,
If you did agree to a trade and cash, I'd never mistreat her. I grew up on these cars and hate not being able to fix up the one in parent's garage. BTW, I pulled the motor and tranny from my second RX-2 that I had 85% restored. My mom was in an accident and it died a painful death. However, since 94, my third RX-2 has been garaged for the last 12 years. It does not run. I couldn't figure it. However, I know it does as I pulled the motor from the one my mother wrecked. Thoughts....
Please email me direct or call me. Thank you.

Mark

Johnny,
My name is Mark and I want to buy your Gold 73 RX-2. I love everything about this car. I have owned three, restored two and have another in my garage that I don't have time to fix up. It has an RX-7 engine and tranny in it. The drive shaft was shortened. My parents and I have owned RX-2s and 5s since I was 2 (1972). I just don't have the time (I'm in the USAF) to fix up the one in the garage. If you'd like to trade, name your price, and if it fits my budget, and I will work out the shipping. Thank you.

Mark Braun
