nice man, what a car, i really like fox body mustangs... never really liked the 4 head light ones but yours has a nice aggresive look to it. Thanks for the kind comment man i like ford and chevy... i have my biased opinion but its nice for a fellow car guy to give complements between the breeds. thanks alot and keep up that stang. -Matt

hey nice mustang. i got a 80 mustang too. just not a cobra. i have the about the same story as you. i bought my first mustang before i could even drive legally at 15. that wasa 1987 lx. that was a 4 cly. the first day it was removed. cause who wants a mustang with 4 banger. i replaced it with rebuilt 302 that i built a year before. payed for all the parts and rebuilt it myself in my dads high performance engine shop. then i bought a 89 mustang lx a couple months later for interior parts and the 302 roller block. so i rebuilt the motor. it still sits in my shop ready for a car. the i bought the current 1980 mustang for 1500. the body not in the best of conditions but in a state were it could be easily fixed with some minor body work. the car had a motor but the previous owner put the wrong valve spring in the motor for the cam that he had in it. so the cam shaved 4 lobes off. distroying the internal parts all the way to the bottom end. so then i took the motor to the shop and started to order parts. for this car i wanted to make the most horse power and torque i could. so ordered probly about 7-8000 dollars worht of motor parts. the only thing i didnt by were the 351 heads and the crank. i redid a crank it came out to be .010 under and the heads i made bigger with some 1.900 and 2.020 valves and i also ported and polished them. i bored the block out .040 to a 308. the biggest i could go with out causing to many problems. new pistons, eagle rods. double valve springs, valves, titanium valve seats. anodized alumimum roller rockers 1:6, edelbrock 00 cfm carb and intake. ported the intake to match the heads. MSD distributor, ford racing plug wires. chrome ford racing valve covers 175Dollers for them suckers. expensive owell they look good. air cleaner, water pump, under drive pullies, harmonic dampner, flexlight fan, and accel ignition coil. then in the last month before snow i bought a 6cly convertable that i have a 351 procharged motor waiting for. that will be in the spring. well hey view my file tell me wait you think.

Nice car but you need to clean up the interior and the engine compartment. If you would pull the engine out and repaint and clear coat it would look awesome.

Great car! I like the colors you chose for it. Is that the hood that comes on the cobra's or is that a hood scoop that was added on? Keep up the nice work. -Take care
