Top speed is actually surprisingly fast. I've had mine up to 157mph. I know the spedo doesn't go that high, but the tach does. Easy calculation, at 90mph it is doing 3,000 rpm. I've had it at 5,250 with the torque converter locked. Any properly working 3.3 will do this, but don't try it... If you blow a tire in one of these cars going that fast, you will die.

you said your trans paused i think you need to put some trans oil in it i did it on my 89 and it went away it had a small leak.
