thanks for checkin out my page. I do love all original numbers matching cars. I don't mind clones as long as everythings done correct and the only way to tell would be to check the VIN or fender tags. Despite the results of my poll, it will be gettin single exhaust next week. I hope to keep it as quiet as possible. After all, I doubt dual exhaust alone would make a significant difference. If i really wanted more power, I would wait if it ever needs a rebuild, then I would change some internal components so it still looks stock. My dad is the mopar fan in my house. But I still like a few of them. Yours looks great. Keep it original.

First i wonte 2 say is the car is vary nice i got a 72 also but what i can't under stand is the fog lights iv done a lot of history on Challenger's but i never seen or read of any Challenger with fog light's. If they came stock it will be a first for me? Also the R/T hood nice i have one 2 but im puting on the six pack hood tell me more about the car the lights look good on it.

i dont know of any codes on the heads to tell,,you might just have to research it unless you pull the head,,i know my headliner is the original and has 5 bows and about any place you look to buy replacement tells that the 72 had 4 and that the 71 an 70 had 5,,and the 8 grand tach is something that was told to me by a good source,,but without further research i am not 100%,,my seatbelt labels show 71 but thats not uncommon to follow in a year except my dash does not have the seatbelt light and most 72 do have the light and buzzer,,it just small things and i think it was on the 72 models made before march of 72,,but that is about all i know,,on the lower part of the motor block around the mounts, if you can see has the engine size and year stamped on it and the last part of the numbers should match your last 4 numbers of the vin# to be original motor and there should be numbers somewere on the trany too that match the last four vin#

if your dash has the 8 grand tach,,i have been told that is more common to the earlier models ,,the later years supposely had 7 grand tach

if your car is like mine being made in 71 it will have some things in common with the earlier r/t cars,,for instance my headliner has 5 bows were the 72 is only suppose to have 4 and some other small details if you look close enough,,if your motor is the original 340 it may have an earlier set of heads on it with the 2.02 vavles and 1.60 vavles even if there j-heads,, which would be high performance and if there is a windage tray bolted on to the main bearing caps in the oil pan is also a high prefomance part

Hey thanks for checkin out my car. Yeah the Vauxhall popular in the 60's was the Victor/Viceroy, I think. Anyways, for my next car I still want a Challenger the most, but it wont happen for a while (funds a bit tight!) :( maybe some day...hopefully a white '70 with a 440 lol...

crazy lookin' challenger, I like it. They went to shit right after this, like alot of muscle cars. You got in while it was still good. I'm partial to the '70? Challenger (Vanishing Point) but yours is sweet all the same. Take care of it, but I don't even have to say that, do I?

i am unsure why the consumer report calls them an r/t,,mine also has it in the report,,i do know my car was sold in oct.1971 which may have let the consumer report not be changed,,since your car and mine are rallye cars, these rallye cars are what the r/t became in 1972,,and thats about all i know on it,,
