Hey, thanks for the comment and best of luck on your resto. It is a lovely car and I am happy you are keeping it stock. I am just beginning to restore my convertible. I have 2 other 71 coupes, one is a 383magnum R/T as original as yours but with only the Broadcast sheet. I also have a 72 like yours which needs some cosmetics, but otehrwise in a very good state. Good luck buddy.

Thanks for the kind words regarding my Cuda. You have a real collector car there. All the paper work and history from the owner is priceless. Beautiful Challenger! The 340 is a great motor. Keep up the good work on her. People will be jealous and you'll turn a lot of heads.

Like what you've done with the car - the Magnum 500s really "make" the look. Super to see a NE car that's in that good a shape - especially that vinyl roof! That would never last out here in SoCal, even though the bodies tend to be a little better.
Thanks for the comments you left on mine. Yes, mine is an R/T. I know from the VIN that it's originally a 383, but the fender tags and build sheets are long gone, so I'm guessing, based on the holes in floor, that it was an auto. Check back later for updates - but not too often - this is gonna take awhile!!

Man, oh man! Brings back memories! My car was that color when I bought it in 83. Problem was, nobody I knew called it Petty Blue. Much to my dislike, my ride was always referred to as the Smurfmobile. (Talk about no respect!) I painted it another color almost immediately. You checked out my page while I was editing it so you might want to check it again. Thanks for your comments. I noticed there were several comments about authenticity. I've found "Challenger & Barracuda Restoration Guide 1967-1974" by Paul Herd to be a great resource. Probably not definitive, but it sure answers a lot of questions.

Wow, amazing car and in excellent condition for its age. Nice to see that you’re keeping it original and using it for a daily driver. Check out my Dodge when you get a chance!

Hey dude, that is a nice Challenger!!!! I'm responing to your question on my Challenger. I have the 4x4 Challenger, and yes I did save it. The whole front subframe is tweeked by two inches. So I thought this would do so I can go four-wheelin and enjoy driving a car. Keep your car original as possible, if your car has very minimalrust, your car is worth 8 to 10 grand out here in Arizona. Enjoy it, Later.

thanks for checkin out my page. I do love all original numbers matching cars. I don't mind clones as long as everythings done correct and the only way to tell would be to check the VIN or fender tags. Despite the results of my poll, it will be gettin single exhaust next week. I hope to keep it as quiet as possible. After all, I doubt dual exhaust alone would make a significant difference. If i really wanted more power, I would wait if it ever needs a rebuild, then I would change some internal components so it still looks stock. My dad is the mopar fan in my house. But I still like a few of them. Yours looks great. Keep it original.
