Nice truck. I have the last of the full size ones, a 77 SS.
Always did prefer the 4th generation. Full size, lots of room and ride like a cadillac!
Good luck.

yo man im not shur about the cam size i can find out tomarrow prolly. yea i got 2 of the 4 floor corners in the floor im working ont he worst side first and the side with the humangous hole i have to fabricate parts to put where the rust has climbed up the drive shaft hump. oh and about the cragers i found out that you cant even buy myn anymore and if you find them its like finding gold they need to be rechromed though but i dont mind. i got a shift kit the other day and the guy that is going to install in for me said that he will make it shift so hard that from 1-2 just easing on the throtal from stop signt to stop sign it will churp the tires for 30 feet. yea man that sucks about ur apt not allowing you have ur car their i wouldhave put oil under the door of the manager os something but thats just me. man i found out from my aunt who i got the car from that the car was sitting in florida for a year not moving so thats where alot of the cancer came from and she let someone barrow it and they took it up north with the salty roads so their is alot of shit caked on the underside and where the motor is i gotta clean that off, i mean their is so much that i swear i could save about 150 200 lbs just getting rif of that. and befor we took the motor out we left about a foot of pipe behind the manifolds and did some mad burnouts on my dry rotted tires it was awsome. alright well imuna go ill keep you updated about the motor im prolly getting it instaled after christmas couse i have my car at my school right now and i dont wanna take the chance of anyone stealing anything off of it couse the manifold alone is about 700 bucks so not something i wanna take a chance with . laters

Hey, Yeah well I hope that works. I know how hard it can be to find parts for these cars, and I have only needed some little things. No, they are not the stainless steel hoses, they are just the sleeves. But they look alright. WHen I was purchasing them though, there were the stainless hoses. I saw them at Pep~Boys, but I didnt have the money for those. The sleeves are a pain in the butt, so if you want the look I would go with the stainless hoses. Yea, I think the irocs look great on these camino's. I know of an orange/grey one in town with those same wheels and I think it looks really good. Yeah the cragars are nice too, but I think the chrome wheels are too flashy for me. Well, good luck again on torque-ing the frame back down. Hope it all works out. You know what, I go to this site all the time for information. There are a bunch of people on there that can help. There is a forum for 73-77 chevelle's and an El Camino forum itself if you want to check that out. You can leave a post, and get a TON of info. Just go to www.chevytalk.org and click on Forums at the top of the game. Hope this helps! Sorry this was so long!

HEY!! I cant believe I havent seen your car yet. It looks great! Have you checked out mine yet? Looks just like yours minus the iroc wheels and color. Awesome job! Those Irocs are hard to find anymore! Sorry about the crash, hope everything works out with the frame. Sounds awesome. I have a rebuilt 350 in mine, and I will start putting in some major improvments once I start working. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks. Congratulations to you and your girlfriend/wife/mate about the new son. Come check out my El Camino (77) sometime if you have the time. I know you're a busy man, keeping everyone free. Peace

yea iv looked all over for the cowl's and all i have found is a 2 inch cowl and its the type they had on the 69 z28 camaro's and 2 just isnt going to cut it so im thinking about getting a custom hood made from a place in town or get a 4 1/2 inch the kind you have to fiberglass to your origional hood and just cut the hole under to fit the engine but if i get the custom hood make ill b shur to let you know so you can see how it looks laters

Good Luck with the restoration! Having been there have to say don't fall in love with metal. Buy another one and start over if the lines aren't straight. They are out there. I'm on my second.
