whoa sweet car u have there. Check out www.ontariopontiacclub.ca we have meets all in the ontario area and working on getting shows started for the summer would love to have u join.

Well the motor's in and I'm climbing the walls waiting for spring.
I was told that with the BBC engine swap the front cast drum assembly in my street/strip TH350 trany is the new weak link. Pushing it to hard may strip the splines connecting the input shaft to the drum thus disconnecting the engine crank from the trans.
Even though I have a rev limiter I'll still have to be quick off the gas to keep the engine from seeing anything over 7000RPM.
I'm thinking of a street/strip 700-R4, that way I get the strength and the extra 4th gear.

Hey man, i just wanted to let you know that when i had saw my car in the paper before i bought it, i had no idea what to do with it. I had no idea what a Phoenix even was. I Google searched what a Pontiac Phoenix was and your car was one of the first to pop up. I took a look at it and your car is the one that got me started with mine. Hey man, nice car. Paint looks great. Like the color. I have a 79 Phoenix as well. I have a 305 in it with a 826 carb which adds quite a bit of horses. You should check it out. I gave you a good score. Again, nice car man.

I got my rearend out of a '69 Nova SS that was converted to a pure drag car with a Ford 9", it fit perfectly. I made the mistake of building the motor before I fortified the trany and rearend. Needless to say I got the point after a burnt stock trany and two chewed up stock rearends.

Nice looking Phoenix. What did the rear end come out of? I'm at the end of a two year restoration; I rebuilt the motor and dropped in a Borg-Werner T-5 but with the stock 242 rearend I can't even get into 5th gear without being way over the speed limit (not to mention I have nothing off the line)!

Nick - Your Landau Coupe is awesome- I have the 78 black Landau Phoenix that I just registered today. It was hit on the passengerside three weeks ago, and I need the two wheel well moldings for the passengerside. Can you, or a friend, help me locate them? Thanks, David (dhutch4@yahoo.com)

how much hood clearance do you have?
do you think i can clear a RPM Air-Gap intake (and maybe a 1 inch carb spacer)?
where do you find your body parts? (I need some)
