I just went to the mechanic and had it done. It took about 2 minutes and he didnt charge me anything. He just moved the distributer cap and then had a timiming light to see where it was set. Cheap way to gain a little extra...with our engines every little bit helps.

I had my timing advanced to 15 degrees and i can tell quit a bit of difference. I dont know how much more horsepower you'll get. I'll guess around 5. But what I noticed is the more torque that I have. If you do advance it, you have to make sure that you run a higher octane of gas, at least 91.
