There's a lot to be said for modern cars. Even the cheapest of the cheap are reliable, safe and reasonably comfortable. Sports cars are another story all together, because with all the fancy new materials and computer assistance, we're reaching levels of performance our fathers couldn't even dream of. But that being said, there's something undeniably romantic about old school hotrods. In the days before there were tons of bolt-on parts available to give your stock ride a little more go, gearheads subscribed to the bolt-off method, meaning they took off every piece which didn't make the cars go faster. And guess what? It worked! Of course, it didn't only make their cars faster, it turned their machines into rolling pieces of minimalist art, and launched a culture that's still going strong today. This show was hot rod heaven. Enjoy the photos.
