VIP Auto Show: Los Angeles

Event Date: Nov. 17, 2006

Photos: Larry Chen

I have to admit, this show was a lot smaller than I expected—there were only about a hundred cars—but it was a good time all the same. To me, one of the rides which really stood apart from the crowd was the blacked out Maserati. I think this is a really sexy sedan—it doesn't hurt that it's got a Ferrari V8 under the hood—and I haven't seen many customized versions. Black on black was definitely the overwhelming theme, and while there were also a fair amount of white rides, there didn't seem to be much in between. I guess when the VIPs decide to roll, it's tuxedo colors all the way!

After I checked out the cars, I went over to watch the models strut down the runway. The cloths they were sporting looked really fashion forward, but I have to admit, I like it better when they stick to bathing suits.
